STAYING WITH ENRICA

I think I'm in love!!!!! 

Dear FRIENDS,

yesterday was my first day with Enrica! Her family was so happy to see me! Enrica is a very cheerful, lively, energetic girl. She never stops and I’m doing lots of things with her! In the afternoon she took me to her best friend’s, Francesca, who is a very beautiful and friendly (she offered me some ice-cream)! Francesca showed me a beautiful teddy bear.

 I fell in love with her at once and we had a  pic-nic

In the evening Enrica and her mother went to a sport centre called “palasport” located in Brindisi city, which is about six minutes far from Mesagne to watch the basketball match played by “Enel Basket Brindisi”! It is the most popular basketball team and Enrica is their supporter!

 I had a great fun at the basketball match!  

After the match we paid a visit to Enrica’s father who was working at his office. He is a journalist, he works  for  a local newspaper called “Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno’’.  He was glad to meet me and he invited me to write something for his newspaper! 

How wonderful to be a journalist :-)

On Sunday morning I woke up early as usual even if there was the adoption of standard time and I could sleep longer. Since breakfast was not ready I decided to play Enrica’s piano. 

After breakfast I played the piano again while Enrica did her homework.

After at 12 o’clock we went to her grandparents’ to have lunch. They were waiting for me! Before lunch I watched  Pope Francesco on TV! Enrica told me that every Sunday at noon the Italian television broadcasts Pope Francesco who greets people from all over the world and invites everybody to pray a particular prayer called  “Angelus” with him. He is such a wise man!

 We had lunch (pasta as main course, then meat and finally roast chestnuts). Late in the afternoon we went sightseeing in Brindisi. I saw very beautiful and interesting places:

 the Sailor Monument 

The Sailor Monument is 54 metres tall and at its base there is a chapel in memory of the fallen sailors during the world wars. We also saw the military fortress, 

 the museum of  the “Knights Templares” 

and finally we had a walk along the waterfront.

 We also bought a bag of roast chestnuts. Very delicious" Yummyyyy! 

Later we came back home and watched some TV… and finally we had pizza!

I like Enrica very much! She has made me learn so many things.
